Answer: Fear of the Number 13 More information: Schoenberg (1874-1951) had such a severe case of triskaidekaphobia - or fear of the number 13 - that it is theorized his depression due to such may have contributed to his death. Strangely enough, Schoenberg died on the 13th day of July 1951.
